There’s always something special about working with people who want a property to carry through and speak to multiple generations. Often easier said than done, achieving the balance of timeless elegance and modern sophistication can be a tricky task, but this was pure pleasure. Incorporating beautiful use of iron and glass in functional areas such as the dining room, and more antique feels with carved wood and fabric in less frequently used spaces, we managed to achieve balance in this vast space.
Often the simplest use of furniture can compliment the largest of spaces, and large wooden benches with runway tables can make the most of engaging family eating spaces. A blend of wooden flooring, classic wall papering and dated-feel carpets also added to the atmosphere in this amazing house.
